Sidney has been an open water swimmer most of her life. After career ending injuring as a competitive gymnast she turned to competitive pool swimming. She continued to compete in swimming and diving throughout high school while always enjoying the local oceans,  rivers, or lakes.
 

Sidney is passionate about sharing her love for the open water.  Bringing together a vast knowledge of successful swim techniques, marathon swim accomplishments, and patience, Sidney is her happiest when coaching in the water. She thrives on guiding others through their own challenges, whilst shaping them into stronger, faster, and happier swimmers. 

Sidney volunteers as a swim coach with the organizations One with the Ocean and  the Triathlon Club of San Diego. She has extensive experience leading open water group swims as well as coaching from the pool deck. During the summer months she kayaks and observes swimmers crossing the Catalina Channel.

Sidney is the head coach for Ventura Cove Masters as well as the Wind and Sea Masters team in La Jolla. During the spring season, Sidney enjoys coaching the La Jolla High School Dive team.
